Song Berries Blog

When my sweet hubby saw The Drain Claw he took it right upstairs and showed me how it works! We have a tub that won’t drain right. My hubby used the drain claw on it, and Voila! It’s perfect now! It was so quick and easy to use. He said we’ll just keep it under the sink so it will be handy because that drain collects hair and in a month it will need it again, but next time I can do it myself!

The ABCD Diaries

What we thought: I was quite surprised how much gunk the Drain Claw pulled out of our drain...ewwwww! The craziest part was that I was expecting hair, but what the Drain Claw grabbed was mostly gunky soap buildup which was pretty impressive! The Drain Claw was very easy to use and quite effective, but the best part is that I don't have to worry about having toxic drain cleaner around the kiddos...the Drain Claw is perfectly safe(not to mention affordable:)! ABCD Diaries gives the Drain Claw an A!

Next time you have a clogged up sink skip the toxic chemicals and reach for The Drain Claw instead.

The Drain Claw is wire tool with a little brush like thing on the end. You can bend and twist the rod inside drains to capture hair and push away other clogs- naturally no harsh chemicals needed. This environmentally friendly claw was developed by a real estate agent so he could keep his bath drains open without using chemicals.

Since the number one culprit of clogged drains is hair this handy little claw is a simple solution. The claw is pushed into the drain, twisted and pulled back up- usually with the offensive hair ball attached. If you bend the tip slightly any other drain clog culprits will be pushed away and the clog cleared.

The Drain Claw can be used on bath sinks, kitchen sinks and bath tubs. Just don't use the claw after you've used toxic chemicals. Ditch the chemicals and just use the claw.

I have to admit when I received The Drain Claw for review I was skeptical. It just appeared to be too simple- as in so simple it wouldn't work. However my husband grabbed it and was immediately fascinated. Being a handy man type of guy he is much more aware of tools, gadgets and how they work. He was actually excited by it. So excited it disappeared from my grasp because he ran off to use it.

And it worked. Fabulously. He couldn't believe how easy it was to use and how effective it was for grabbing the hair balls and unclogging the drains. Needless to say all of our sinks and tubs are now draining effortlessly.

My husband is so happy with The Drain Claw he is recommending that his company and several of his commercial clients purchase them.

I think The Drain Claw is something that plumbers, handy men and maintenance men should all carry in their tool bags. It is small, compact and so easy to use.

DIY Maven

Okay, so the reusable and environmentally-friendly Drain Claw arrived in the mail last week. About five minutes after opening the little package I was fishin' for hair, feeling very empowered. I snaked the simple contraption past the stopper and down the drain, wiggled it around a bit and pulled. As the hair came up so did chunks in my throat.

MWT stood by the whole time, watching the proceedings. Between his outbursts of chuckles at my state of grossed-out-ness, he'd encourage me, saying, "You're doing great! Keep going!"

Gah! I did, ultimately pulling up a hair ball that rivals something my cat-child occasionally expels.

After I was finished, I flushed the pipes with about a gallon of water, which whooshed down the drain.

So was the gross-out worth it? Emphatically, yes. Although, I'd say if you have shedders in the house and spring for a Drain Claw, you'll want to use it frequently, like once a month to keep the hair clogs at bay, because it probably won't pull up a sausage-sized hair ball. Ugh. (Chunks.)

You can ask for the Drain Claw at your local hardware stores, or you can order it direct for a MEASLY $6.99. Seriously, it's a clever product that's well worth the bucks.

I was sent a Drain Claw to try out. And let me tell you I am ever so grateful to the folks at Bad Cat Solutions for allowing me to try out this wonderful product.
As I said above I hate being the shower and having dirty water build up around my feet. You can see that The Drain Claw is small and compact. I keep this right by the shower in case I need to grab it and use it lol. It is super simple to use too. Just unroll it. Push it down in the drain. Twist it and pull out. There you have it. And yest it really works!!

Did you know that drain cleaners are some of the most toxic cleaners there are? I know many people still use them because they think that is the easiest way to get the job done, but there are other eco-friendly, safe alternatives, like The Drain Claw.

I love this Drain Claw its perfect. I would wear gloves if your drains are way over due. Works perfect. It bends with your drains, great on all piping, works better then draino in my thoughts! This company made one great invention. Now I can keep those nasty chemicals out of my house away from the kids and use a much nicer/fun tool. Company ships fast and great customer service.

The Drain Claw, made by Bad Cat Solutions, really works! It looks so simple that you might look at it and say what will this coiled up little thing do? It will pull hair and other disgusting gunk out of your drain that you had no idea was there, that's what.

Then, I did it and I wish I hadn't seen it. It was GROSS! Of course, the first little bit was all of my hair. Hey, I used to have long hair and yep, I lost plenty of it each day. I cleaned it off and went back. At this point, I was pulling out hair that was not ours! It has to have been the people here before us... As soon as I finished and cleaned up, I called a friend to tell her about it. I made the comment that our apartment needs to own one of these and they should use it to clean the drains of each apartment before new tenants move in! I was really impressed.
